Dietry Advice

Dental decay is caused by bacteria in plaque digesting sugars from the diet, turning these into acids. These acids attack the tooth surface. It is important to limit the frequency of sugar and acid exposure to the teeth to as few episodes in a day as possible. Hidden sugars in drinks especially and some foods can quickly damage the teeth permanently causing cavities.

Identifying and limiting these exposures is the cornerstone of preventing of dental cavities.

This is especially important at an early age , where lifelong habits are formed.
